Package Special - Scotland’s Food & Drink County East Lothian

The amazing marketing team at Scotland’s food and Drink County East Lothian asked us to animate their logo and create a few pieces by filming a few events and going around visiting their businesses. We were up for the task and set to it right away, getting vox pops from their August Glenkinchi event, alongside going on wonderful tours of East Lothian to capture the area. Once we had all the footage we agreed to create one larger video, with a structure to be broken into two separate, smaller, videos.

And with that, we started the motion graphics of the Scotland’s Food & Drink County East Lothian logo. Inspired by our spinning window at the top of our homepage, we worked with their existing assets to create these wonderful motion graphics.

These amazing photos where taken by Emma Martin Photography who was working with Food and Drink County East Lothian that day. Thanks again for these shots!

With this part done, for the top and tail of all videos, we moved onto those videos themselves. With plenty of footage rather from generous East Lothian businesses, we set about designing a video that, though cohesive as one, can be split into two.

What makes East Lothian special? What does collaboration mean to you?

We then set about designing shorter, bite-sized, videos for sharing on social media. To make these video’s more appealing to scrolling and glancing audiences- these four shorter clips were mastered in 1:1 to aspect ratio; making them a square.

This has been an incredible project to work on, meeting so many new and exciting businesses throughout East Lothian. These videos where fun to design and we worked heavily with the team to make something which not only suited their need, was creatively interesting but also stands out as unique content. We really enjoyed making this project and would love to do more like this in the future. Check out Food and Drink over on their website or on their social pages.
