‘STaR Awards’ Video Interviews -QMUSU

For thisproject, we were back working with our good friends at Queen Margaret University’s Students’ Union. As the 2021 STaR awards were being held digitally, we were asked if we could pre-record the winning speeches for each category and then create a small highlight video for each winner. It was really wonderful to work with the union again after our last project- Use Your Voice, a mental health awareness video. Alongside complying with Covid safety rules we shot on campus for 2 days, grabbing other interviews over an online call.

For this project, we created a total of 20 videos with 19 corresponding thumbnails. This means 9 interviews, with 10 smaller clips and one overall highlight. The scale and amount of videos here is more than in previous jobs, but we were more than happy to help. With ample time to prepare but only 5 weeks to shoot and edit, we got to work!
