Vision - A Collection

This is Anton’s latest graphic design project. Despite how much love many of us have for graphic design, at the core of the craft is an idea of utilitarianism. Whether it’s a logo for a classy bank or the leaflet you give the GP, they are all designed with a purpose. When you’re working with great design, it falls into the background, and the audience is oblivious to it. Traditionally graphic design collections are comprised of a collage of logos, and a showcase of business cards and packaging. When it came time to create a graphic design within Naka Originals, the focus was to give a more artistic flair, and push utilitarianism aside for a day to focus purely on aesthetics. Borrowing from the practices of the photography collection, we want to demonstrate a consistent theme and style. Inspired by the themes, motifs and colour palette of the Naka Media LLP - Design Resource Kit, the collection is a celebration and exploration of the style of Naka, acting as an experimental testbed for ideas that could be carried forward to some more utilitarian purposes.

Anton will be updating this page, with some analysis and insight into the creation of the individual posters.
