Your personal information is held securely and only processed, transmitted or shared with your consent in accordance with UK and EU Law, including the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (ED Directive) Regulations 2003 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

Privacy Promise

Naka Media LLP promises to always be ethically in the way that we use and process personal data you may supply and allow you access to any of said data whether it be to view it or to request it be restricted or deleted from our records.

Collected Data

We may receive personal information about you, such as your name, email address, and/or telephone number, when:

  • you correspond with us by phone, e-mail or in person.

  • you use our services.

  • you supply us with goods and services.

  • you sign a release form as part of willing collaboration on a project.

We may also require additional financial information if it is needed to process invoices or make payments to you.

Data Usage

We use the personal data that we hold:

  • to fulfil any contractual agreements that we have entered between us and yourself.

  • to comply with any legal and/or regulatory obligations.

  • for security purposes i.e check your identity.

Sharing Information

We will not share your personal information with anyone unless you have asked us to do so in written consent. We may ask you if we can share information with 3rd parties such as suppliers and subcontractors if we deem it necessary for us to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations to you. 

Data Storage

Our website, email accounts and other online services use encryption to protect your personal data. Any and all film footage that we have is stored and backup on encrypted hard drives that are then archived so that your information can be found should you request it. Any physical copies of paperwork which may include your data are also secured and archived. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. In all instances we will make adequate operational and technological provision to ensure that your data is held securely.

Data Archival

We will keep your personal data so as long as required to fulfil any contractual agreements that have in place between you and ourselves. We are required to keep some personal information about you for up to 5 years for tax purposes .

Your Rights

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the right to access, amend or revoke any consent that you have provided regarding the storing or use of your personal data. At any time you have the right to unsubscribe or to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes.

You have a right to obtain confirmation that your personal data is being processed. You also have the right to request a copy of your personal data we hold.

We will provide a copy of your personal data within 30 days of receiving the written request. Should you wish to exercise these rights we require you to prove your identity with two pieces of approved identification (photo ID and proof of address such as utility bill).

You have the right to request your personal data be erased. This is not an absolute right and we will review these on a case by case basis.
