Working with The Union - Queen Margaret University

We were asked back, once again, to help Queen Margaret University in their latest marketing campaign. Working alongside The Union, we were given one full day to capture all that was needed for a small series of videos. With a crew totalling eight, and thirteen extras, we got down and dirty to record and showcase QMU’s amazing courses, spaces and students.

It’s always wonderful to work with Queen Margaret University as they understand the kind of content needed for the new generations of prospectus applicants. The pairing with the union is also a great match- with many eye-catching and entertaining media campaigns in their repertoire. These wonderful videos, designed and edited by the Union, will be sure to get more young people interested and involved in the wider world of academia.

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos;

As with the other agency work we have produced (previously The Lane) we were only involved in the filming stage for this project. That means we were following a pre-designed storyboard and worked hard to recreate those in our shoot. In addition to the footage we filmed on the day, an archive drive of our previous filming days was provided to the editors to supplement what we couldn’t film in May. That archives footage has been created over our years with QMU, and so it’s a joy to see another editor take a peak and pick out the best clips.

The whole process was quite exciting and working on projects of this scale really help us to grow in our abilities. We felt touched that Queen Margaret would trust in us to get this job done- which we did! (With 20 minutes to spare).

The main hero film is just below, along with some other shorter films underneath.

We cannot thank the university enough for this chance to work with another amazing agency and meet the brilliant creates behind the work.

As always, you can contact us for more information.
