From Start to Finish - Engagement and Wedding photography

2024 was such an exciting year for us as we ventured into the world of engagement and wedding photography. It was a year of growth, creativity, and incredible experiences, capturing love stories in their most authentic and beautiful moments. From the joy and anticipation of engagements to the emotional and unforgettable celebrations of weddings, every shoot was a new adventure. We loved the challenge of telling each couple’s unique story and crafting images they’ll treasure forever.

Ricarda and Chris have been close friends of ours for a while, and we were overjoyed to not only share in their love but also to capture and celebrate this special moment. From the initial discussions to the final shoot, each shot was thoughtfully planned and crafted to reflect their natural and relaxed connection. The pair needed photos to send away but also wanted something tender to keep for themselves, so we headed out at sunset to capture a heartfelt moment during the golden hour.

Creating a special moment is one thing, but truly listening to your client is where the magic happens. When you understand not just what they want, but who they are as a couple, you can capture something that goes beyond their request. Where Ricarda and Chris wanted to capture their life in Edinburgh and cenering themselves in the moment, Ronja and Scottie went down another route. For them, embellishment and play are a big part of their expression. We chose to explore this together in the Royal Botanical Gardens, dressing for the part and creating something quite magical.

It’s about finding that unique connection between them and weaving it into the photos. When the images reflect not just their vision, but their bond and personalities, that's when the pictures truly become unforgettable.

While engagement photos capture the excitement of the moment, wedding photos tell the story of the day itself, showcasing the deeper emotions and timeless memories that unfold as couples take the next step in their journey together.

Olivia and Sam's ceremony and celebrations were nothing short of breathtaking, perfectly reflecting a couple so deeply cherished by their friends and family. The day was alive with a vibrant colour palette that added energy and joy to every moment, from the delicate floral arrangements to the bold, playful decor. Their wedding was filled with thoughtful details and a lively atmosphere that spoke to their personalities and shared love. Surrounded by laughter and heartfelt speeches, every part of their celebration felt like a true reflection of who they are as a couple—radiant, warm, and full of life.

Lastly, Hester and Dave's wedding, set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, was a celebration steeped in tradition and charm. Their ceremony and stay in Inverness blended the rich history of the area with the intimacy of their love story. The weekend was filled with meaningful moments—from the exchange of vows in a beautiful, traditional setting to the lively reception where friends and family gathered to celebrate amidst the breath-taking scenery. Every detail, from the warm Highland hospitality to the picturesque surroundings, made their wedding an unforgettable experience.

Last year was an incredible journey, filled with so many unforgettable moments capturing engagements and weddings. Each shoot was a joy, not just because of the beautiful settings or creative opportunities, but because of the amazing couples I had the privilege to work with. Every love story was unique, and being part of such meaningful chapters in their lives was truly inspiring. I’m so grateful for the trust each couple placed in me and can’t wait to create even more magical memories this year. Here’s to celebrating love and making more incredible moments together.
